Not stiff at all, super low quality soft brass

I bought this in the hopes of it having the same angle as the Excelerator channel so I could mod it with the plastic end clips for a super stiff hybrid brass Excelerator channel. I tried this with an Ettore brass channel but to no avail because the angle of the rubber is different so the Moerman end clips give you way too aggressive of an angle and doesn't work at all. So I thought I would give the Moerman brass channel a shot.

First off, the 22" channel I ordered was not straight and true at all. It was all tweaked with the metal all wavy, curved out and in all the way down, easy to see if you looked at it in the light.

I spend a good 15-20 minutes just trying to get it even and straight with pliers. This is when I realized how flimsy it is. I could easily twist it and flex it with my hands, almost no stiffness at all. I compared it with the Ettore channel I have and it is night and day. The Ettore is heavier and thicker, with much stiffer feeling brass. It doesn't flex or twist at all. Even the regular aluminum Moerman channels are stiffer.

I'm still trying to dial it in and use it, but I haven't got it right yet. Even with the proper angle and pressure, it still sometimes leaves water behind leading to wasted time detailing. I haven't completely given up on it yet, but I am very close to tossing it at this point.

These channels are the best they are rugged and they last a while , they also fit into most handles great channels.

Meh

Doesn’t work with the Excelerator handle without cutting/grinding. The channel is too “tall” in the back so the teeth on the Excelerator handles are unable to bite into the rubber.
